Privacy notice

This notice explains how RIUS Design ("we", "us") uses personal information when you ask for a price, send us a job, contact us or use this website.

Who we are

RIUS Design is the trading name of RIUS DESIGN LIMITED, a company registered in England and Wales (company no. 15194412), registered office 43 Stopford Road, London, England, E13 0NA. RIUS DESIGN LIMITED is the controller of your information. Contact: riusdesign@gmail.com, 07884 901023.

What we collect

• What you send through the contact form: your name, phone number, email address, who you are (designer, manufacturer or individual), the service, when you need it, your message and any files you attach.
• What you send by phone, WhatsApp or email, such as sketches, technical sheets, patterns, embroidery logos, photos, sizes, a delivery address for the courier and the dates that suit you.

Why we use it, and the legal basis

• To reply to you, give you a price, make the work and send it back to you: steps you asked for before a contract, and the contract itself (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).
• To keep the records tax law requires, such as payments: legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)).
• To keep this website secure and working: our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)).

We don't use your details for marketing and we don't sell them.

Who helps us

These providers handle information for us, only on our instructions:

• Cloudflare, which hosts this website and processes form submissions.
• Resend, which delivers the form to our email inbox.
• Afaceri Diaspora Ltd, which built and maintains this website and keeps a copy of form messages so none are lost.
• WhatsApp (Meta) and our email provider, when you contact us that way.
• Google, only if you click "Allow" (Google Analytics) or choose to load the map.

Some of these providers may process information outside the UK. Where they do, they use safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that don't lead to a booking are deleted within 12 months. Payment records are kept for as long as tax law requires (usually six years). Your sketches, patterns and files are kept only while we work on them and for later changes you ask for, and are deleted when you ask. We show photos of finished work only with your agreement, and never with your brand name unless you want it.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it or ask us to restrict it. Email riusdesign@gmail.com. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies

This website uses no advertising. Google Analytics (visit statistics) and the Google map load only if you allow them; when they do, Google may set cookies and receive your IP address. See the cookie notice.
